Mr. Bidwell doesn't like Julius, and proposes a bet: if he can make $100,000 in six months, then he can continue dating his daughter. If he doesn't, he will have to stay away from her forever. Mr. Bidwell even gives Julius a job at one of his pencil eraser factories.
