The Silver Bridge collapses as John travels to Officer Mills and her family for dinner. Officer Mills' car falls into the water. John jumps in after her and pulls her from the river to safety. As the two sit in the back of an ambulance they are informed that 36 people have been killed making Connie the "number 37" from her dream. The actual Silver Bridge collapsed on December 15, 1967, in which 46 people died.
